How it works

The customer enters his business-to-cutomer order online or by phone. PDF documents, passwords and metadata for delivery are generated. Then the data is sent to the Axepto platform that checks the content, accompanied by procedural guide and creates a virtual package of documents for delivery.

The application on the tablet downloads only the packages relevant to the specific deliverer by credentials or ward. Followed by physical delivery. After identity verification and the entering of the customer’s password the expression of will (confirmation of the contractual relationship) the signature with biometric features is recorded on the tablet.

Based on the pre-defined process guide items such as a scanned ID document, customer photograph, etc. can be attached to the package. When all operations are completed, signed documents in the package are sent to the document sender system, which sends the email to the customer.

The structure of the transaction server is formulated to be used by several B2C companies. Each company has a separate repository that will be used for the delivery of their packages. How does the exchange of submissions and information with the external environment work? Individual documents for signature are always organized within a package. One package may contain one or more separate documents for signature. Each courier can work on the basis of its driver list. “Driver List” is a list of consignments for electronic delivery and signing by a specific courier within the planned route on a specific day. Detailed integration methods we can present to you in a personal meeting.

Legislation

Our solution – which is defined as advanced electronic signature – can identify the user, is unique to them, is under the sole control of the user and is attached to a document in a way that it becomes invalidated if the contents are changed.

The solution will also apply REGULATION (EU) No 910/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market.

Axepto application is a standalone application written for Android OS version 5.0 and above and does not require any Android permissions for opening, signing and saving of PDF documents. However, if direct integration to external systems is required, network access permission or others may be needed. Thus, certain application security may be guaranteed by the Android operating system.

If the application runs in an unsecured operating system such as a standard Android environment it requires hardware level protection within the short instance of actual signing of the document – it is the only time when document can be available in unencrypted form within the internal memory of the givendevice. In all other instances the document is either encrypted using the AES-256 key generated on the device, or it is not present within the device (sent through a secured network and deleted).

Each document is made unique by entering visible and non-visible details about the parties signing the document moments before and during the signing. Basic information creating a unique document is simply visible e.g. contractual details, name, address, birth date of the signer, etc. These details are easily copied if one would wish to create a counterfeit copy of the document. However, electronic documents, unlike paper ones, may contain non-visible details about the signing parties (watermarks). Axepto application adds these details (watermark metadata) into the document by embedding signing parties’ details in encrypted and/or clear text format.
